The PI in a VAC4EU study is responsible for the leadership and conduct of a research study. PIs ensure that the study is conducted in accordance with the protocol and all relevant EU legislation, while complying with the VAC4EU procedures available.
The primary purpose of the PI WG is to share and exchange knowledge and learnings, creating synergy across studies. This includes the validation of tools such as the VAC4EU Catalogue, diagnostic code lists, the pregnancy algorithm, and case validation. In addition, the working group hosts presentations and resulting discussions on more scientific topics, such as results and methods development.
