BIPS develops strategies for the prevention of chronic, non-communicable diseases with a research focus on early detection of diseases and drug safety (among other things). They cover methodological development, identification of causes of diseases, and intervention and implementation research, while also offering information to politicians and the public, and providing academic qualification to young scientists.
