FORTIFY, a European project that supports the implementation of the European Health Data Space by addressing one of its key practical challenges: how to enable secondary use of health data for research and innovation while still protecting sensitive innovation assets.
The project is developing practical legal, governance and technical tools to help organisations share and reuse health data in a more trusted, consistent and operationally feasible way. It does so through a co-creation approach that brings together all relevant stakeholders to ensure the solutions developed respond to real needs and can work in practice. This includes work related to intellectual property, trade secrets, commercially confidential information and regulatory data protection.
